Transcription service

The Braille Transcription Service at TPB (Punktskriftstjänsten) transcribes written material for individual use. Braille readers may submit manuals, lyrics, cooking recipes, articles from newspapers and magazines etc. All transcriptions are free of charge.

Any reader may order articles from magazines presently covered by the transcription service. The reader receives a printout of the magazines table of contents, and based on that orders articles of interest.
The transcription is delivered in braille. Contracted braille or double spacing is optional. It can also be delivered on diskette or by e-mail.

There is no restriction to the number of transcriptions available to the deafblind, while the visually disabled have a limit of 1000 printed pages per year.
